The Discovery Journey to Innovative Renewable Energy (DJIRE) laboratory is looking to recruit PhD and MS students to join the team!
Postdoctoral Researcher – Electrochemical Reaction Mechanisms
Our lab is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher with a strong background in chemistry to support projects focused on electrocatalytic reaction pathways. The successful candidate will investigate reaction intermediates involved in CO2 reduction (CO2RR), hydrogen evolution (HER), oxygen reduction (ORR), oxygen evolution (OER), and nitrogen reduction (NRR) using in-situ/operando analytical techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-situ spectroscopic and electrochemical analyses to identify and characterize reaction intermediates
- Collaborate with team members to design mechanistic studies
- Prepare publications and present results at conferences
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- Experience with in-situ/operando characterization (e.g., IR, Raman, UV-vis, NMR, or mass spectrometry)
- Strong background in electrochemistry and catalysis
