Postdoc Position Available

Postdoctoral Researcher – Electrochemical Reaction Mechanisms

Our lab is seeking motivated postdoctoral researchers with independent funding or fellowship support (e.g., postdoctoral fellowship recipients) who are interested in conducting research in electrochemistry and electrocatalysis. The successful candidate will investigate electrochemical reaction mechanisms and reaction intermediates in areas including carbon dioxide reduction (CO2RR), hydrogen evolution (HER), oxygen reduction (ORR), oxygen evolution (OER), and nitrogen reduction (NRR) using in-situ/operando analytical techniques.

Research opportunities may include:

  • Perform in-situ spectroscopic and electrochemical analyses to identify and characterize reaction intermediates
  • Collaborate with team members to design mechanistic studies
  • Prepare publications and present results at conferences

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • Experience with in-situ/operando characterization (e.g., IR, Raman, UV-vis, NMR, or mass spectrometry)
  • Strong background in electrochemistry and catalysis
  • Independent postdoctoral funding or fellowship support
